Dr. Markus Dreißigacker is Fractional General Counsel at Compound Law with two decades of in-house leadership experience at global companies, and was named M&A Lawyer of the Year 2025.
He serves as Group General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Bruker Corporation, where he heads Legal, Compliance, IP, and ESG as a member of the Group Management Board. Before that, he spent more than six years at JDE Peet’s as Chief Compliance Officer, Data Protection Officer, and General Counsel, where he led the compliance workstream for the company’s €17.3 billion IPO in 2020. Earlier, he was General Counsel Northern Europe at Kellogg’s and General Counsel DACH for Pringles.
His primary focus is M&A and corporate work: he has driven more than 40 post-merger integration projects and supported over 50 startup, seed, and VC projects, from founding stage to family-owned and listed companies. He combines this with deep expertise in IP, commercial contracts, and complex negotiations across multiple jurisdictions.
Beyond transactional work, he has designed and rolled out global compliance programs as Chief Compliance Officer, deployed GDPR strategy as global Data Protection Officer, and built ESG strategies covering corporate communication, regulatory, and sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in comparative consumer law from Heidelberg University and is passionate about AI and legal tech.
